Pilot Double Stage Mills are the latest version of the Pilot Mini Pulveriser. It is provided with a Pre-crushing chamber where the material undergoes a coarse grinding and passes on to the fine powdering chamber. So we can feed the hard materials like turmeric directly for fine grinding in single feeding. This also gives more evenness for the spices powder. The operational life of the screens (sieves)  in a double stage mill is about 20 times that of standard mini Pulveriser of the same capacity.

Pre- cutting chamber is fixed on the hinges which also acts as door for fine crushing chamber. The centre classifier sieve also can be taken out  very easily by twisting from the lock bolt. The feeding of this machine is through the centre of the front end. The heavy suction at the centre results in easy feeding and avoid spillage. These are definite advantages over the conventional type of such machines.

The crushing chamber and bearing blocks are made of high quality cast iron. But for model No 815-2 crushing chamber is made of mild steel " C" Section. Bearings are lubricated in oil. For heavy duty Double Stage Mills, Cooling fins are provided for bearing blocks. Water jacket is a standard provision for all double stage mills except 815-2. The machine is supplied with air filter and cotton balloon.
