5. PILOT HAMMER MILL

PILOT HAMMER MILLS are recommended for powdering grains, chemicals, herbs, ores, minerals etc., from fine to coarse powder in bulk quantity. These machines are provided with cyclone dust collector for  avoiding pollution and easy collection at discharge  end. Although separate motor is mentioned for blower, it is not compulsory. It can be substituted by counter shaft arrangement. Separate motor increases the efficiency and easy cleaning of the equipment.

NOTE: Cyclone collector, air pipe and blower lining fabricated in stainless steel advisable in the case of spices grinding. This helps easy cleaning and non-sticking of material inside the cyclone collector and pipe.

Operating Principle

The materials to be ground into the crushing chamber from feed hopper by gravity or through an auto feeder (optional). The beaters inside the drum accelerate the material to a very high speed to the toothed liner placed at the upper half of the crushing chamber. The material is pulverised by impact and shearing. The ground materials is continuously sucked by a centrifugal blower through screens placed at the bottom periphery of the crushing chamber and is conveyed through a pipe into the cyclone dust collector for bagging. Excess air is filtered through a cotton balloon. Particle size can be varied using screens with different hole size.

S.S LAB MODEL HAMMER MILL

These are useful for laboratory purpose pulverising without spillage. It is designed in such a way to reduce the power consumption to 1 HP. Output per hour will be around 10 kg / hour depending on the type of material. No separate motor is required  for blower.
